Ushuaia & Tierra del Fuego

Billed as the southernmost city on Earth, and the literal end of the road — the finish line.

Ushuaia, on the island of Tierra del Fuego, bills itself as the southernmost city in the world — backed by snowy peaks, facing the Beagle Channel, and the jumping-off point for Antarctica.

For us it’s simply the finish line: where Ruta 3 ends and the Pan-American journey — some 30,000 miles of driving in all — finally runs out of road.
